2nd AWIN Conference: Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, 14th to 15th May, 2013

The AWIN project is hosting its second annual conference in 2013

 

The AWIN project will host its second annual conference with our partners from Neiker Tecnalia in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, May, 13th to 16th. We are offering the opportunity for stakeholders and other interested parties to join us in Vitoria for a day tailored to meet specialist areas from within the AWIN project on the 14th of May. Stakeholders may want to stay for the following day (15th of May) to find out more details about the science being undertaken by the largest animal welfare project at present within the EU.

We have a small registration fee for the conference:

14th Of May ‘Stakeholder day’: includes coffee-break, lunch and the conference banquet €80

15th of May ‘Science day’: includes coffee-break and lunch €30

Travel

Vitoria can be reached by train and buses from Madrid (4 hours) or by flying to either Bilbao (~65K from Vitoria) or Santander (~170K from Vitoria). Transfers from Bilbao by bus are easiest.

Bilbao Airport to Bilbao Bus terminal: every 30 min from 6.15 am to midnight.

Bilbao (Bus terminal)-Vitoria-Gasteiz:  5.25 am to 21.55 every 30 min (is about 60 min ride).

Taxi Bilbao Airport to Vitoria: 110 Euros.
